we've got spirit, yes we do (part 1)...

I guess I missed the memo, but it turns out that the first week in March is Will Eisner week, with all sorts of events going on at comics institutions around the country to honor the great comics pioneer. Better late than never, Negative Pleasure presents to you some scans from the Warren and Kitchen Sink SPIRIT magazines of the 1970s and 80s. I'll probably keep these going past the end of the week, because as cool as a week of memorial is, this is some stuff I can really dig all year round, and have been doing so for many moons.
We're starting off with Warren's SPIRIT #2, from June 1974, with a beautiful color cover by Eisner, seven splash pages (one in color), a neat two-tone contents page and an interview with the artists. Enjoy...
