eerie publications "weird" part 1)...

Honestly, I don't know a whole lot about Eerie Publications. They were a minor competitor to Warren in the horror magazine market in the late 1960s and 1970s. Unlike Warren, which took pride in their talented stable of contributors and cultivated a fan base around them, these mags don't have much in the way of artist and writer credits, and contain no editorial material at all. Anyway, here are some scans from two issues of "Weird" from 1972...












These mags did have some very cool and socially irresponsible ads. On this page alone, you could buy a switch blade, three different kinds of pellet gun and a book safe to stash them in...
