walter paisley lives!

For those of you televisually inclined this evening, Turner Classic Movies is showing one of my all-time faves, Roger Corman's "A Bucket of Blood," tonight at 8pm. This isn't just one of my all-time favorite horror movies, it's one of my all-time favorite movies in general, up there with Robert Bresson's "L'argent" and Passolini's "Teorema." Starring the incomparable Dick Miller, "A Bucket of Blood" is, in my opinion anyway, the first "modern" horror film, with it's unique blend of then-contemporary themes and dark, sophisticated humor.

Watch it early and often, and check back with Negative Pleasure later for my review of "5ive Girls" and more Marvel horror mags...
