70's dc horror- the final chapter

Here's a last bunch of 1970s DC Comics horror stuff (actually I have some more hidden around here and there, mostly Swamp Thing-related stuff, but I gotta save something for next year...). "Unexpected" (aka "Tales of the Unexpected") ran from 1956 'til 1982, it was recently resurrected as a mini-series featuring the Spectre and a funny back-up story with Dr. Thirteen. The "Ghosts" comic is from 1975. That series ran from around 1971 through the early 1980s. "The Witching Hour" was a sister publication to "House of Mystery" and "House of Secrets," and was hosted by a witch character who was often seen with Cain and Abel (she co-hosted "Plop!" with them). I've included one of the intro pages and a complete 3-page story from "Witching Hour," and a wraparound story (featuring Cain, Abel and a character who reminds me as Ralph Richardson as the Crypt Keeper from the Amicus "Tales from the Crypt" movie) from "Secrets of the Haunted House" (with inks by Russ Heath, I think), another DC horror anthology that ran during the 1970s and 1980s. Can you tell I don't have anything all that interesting to say about these? Still, they're pretty cool...

Check back tomorrow for some slightly less snazzy Marvel horror comics, also from the 1970s, and later today for a new film review...
